友禅染を行う時に伸子（しんし）という道具を使い、布に張りをもたせて絵を描きます。昔から行われてきた平面的に張力をもたせる方法を発展させてテンセグリティー構造の作品を制作しました。
When we do Yuzen Dye we use Shinshi which is bamboo stick for stretching cloth to draw a picture. I developed this traditional method of giving tension in plane surface that has been used since a long time and I made a work of tensegrity structure.
